In Pursuit of Community Excellence
Guide to Giving on the Virginia Peninsula
The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia has compiled contact and organizational information from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations throughout our service area in four basic categories: Community Services; Human Services; Arts and Museums; and Education. The purpose of this project is to provide a resource to financial advisors, estate planning and tax attorneys, CPA's, and others who work with or advise potential philanthropic donors.
It is our goal to make this a "go to" reference source for donors and their advisors who wish to support one or more charitable organizations throughout Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, and York County. In addition to primary contact information, we have provided a brief organizational description of each charity, as well as their top current needs. Each organization has its Web site hyperlinked on this section of our site.

It is our hope that, by providing this complimentary service to other nonprofits in our community, particularly those that are primarily operated by volunteers and have limited administrative and financial resources, this project will enable potential donors to more easily connect with the causes they wish to support. The Foundation also hopes to serve as a data "clearinghouse" for participating organizations by keeping the contact information on this site as up-to-date as possible.
If you wish to be considered for participation or would like more information about this project, or if any of the information listed needs to be updated, please click here to contact our Community Relations Coordinator, Donna Francis, or call 757-327-0862.
