The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation established in 2003 to provide individuals and organizations with opportunities to invest in our community in order to improve the quality of life for citizens of the Virginia Peninsula.
Our leadership is comprised of diverse and knowledgeable community leaders whose collective vision allows us to address important needs and pursue new, progressive opportunities that will result in long-term benefits for our community. Grants and scholarships from The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia serve organizations and individuals in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and York County.
The Foundation concentrates its resources in six broad areas:
arts and culture
civic affairs
education
environment
health
social services
However, we also welcome good ideas emerging from the community. We look for creative programs designed to meet the community needs, address public policy or test new ideas. As the needs for the Virginia Peninsula change and evolve, we may also adjust our grant making priorities.
