The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia (PCF) has been a vital anchor for regional philanthropy, partnerships, capacity building, and community research across Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York County, James City County, and Williamsburg for nearly 25 years. Our current Chief Executive Officer must leave to care for family out of state. Therefore, the PCF Board of Directors is searching for an executive to guide PCF into its next chapter of growth. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall vision, leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Foundation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO ensures the Foundation's mission is achieved through effective administration, robust fundraising and stewardship, sound financial oversight, and active, meaningful community engagement. |
The CEO must have proven success in fundraising, and as the external face of the Foundation must be an excellent communicator in all kinds of settings. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong, trusted relationships with leaders across
the business, nonprofit, education and government sectors, capable of managing both the big-picture leadership role for a Foundation charged with serving the entire Peninsula region and improving the quality of life here, and the hands-on
personnel management operational details inherent in successfully directing a smaller organization.
