Operations and Administrative Coordinator
The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia (PCF)
Location: PCF offices, 48 West Queens Way, Hampton, VA
Terms: Part time, average of 30 hours per week
Salary/rate: $20 an hour base pay
Position Requirements: In-office administrative and tactical role, with occasional option to work remotely with the approval of the CEO; supports all four members of the Foundation leadership team with direct report to the CEO. No out-of-region travel – occasional in-region travel, and evening hours, for meetings and events
About Us: When the Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) was launched in 2003, our founders believed that this Peninsula needed a community foundation charged with serving the whole Peninsula - as a region of the Commonwealth…an anchoring organization whose job is to keep the whole community in mind - to maintain the “view from the balcony” perspective.
The leaders of the municipalities we serve, the hundreds of nonprofits who work hard to care for our neighbors, and the leaders of business and education are visionary, focused and passionate. But they have specific roles and agendas - by design.
Our founders believed the Peninsula needed an organization positioned to always be mindful of the greater community - the greater good. So, while we are not on the frontline of the community in service of the greatest needs…we exist to serve those who are. To always have our ear to the ground, lifting up the greatest needs and opportunities across the whole Peninsula, and connecting them with the people and organizations and businesses who can make a difference - making it easier for them to find creative ways to care for the community and change lives.
