Types of Funds - Impact 100
Impact 100 Greater Peninsula is a collaborative effort that champions the power of women working and giving together to improve our community. Our Mission is to provide transformative giving in the Greater Peninsula region through an annual collective financial investment. We welcome all women to participate and have their voice heard to make our community a better place to live.
Throughout the year, members make a tax-deductible contribution of $1,100 with $1,000 to the grant project and $100 for expenses or endowment. Four members can also form a circle and contribute $275 each. In the early spring, local nonprofit organizations submit a proposal outlining how a $50,000 grant would support them in implementing a new transformative project or service. Impact 100 Greater Peninsula seeks grant proposals in Education, Family, Arts & Culture, Health & Wellness and the Environment.
After reviewing initial proposals from across our community, Impact 100 Greater Peninsula members serving on grants committees identify several leading grant requests. They conduct site visits to learn more about how those organizations plan to use the grant money. The group then selects up to five finalists.
At the live "big Give", the finalists offer a short presentation on how they would use the grant. Each individual donor or donor circle then casts its single vote to determine the grant recipients. Votes are tallied and the winners are announced on the spot.
During the year, members can scale their individual participation to a level that is personally meaningful. You can attend our educational programs or serve on a committee. You decide the level of involvement that's right for you.
Time commitment is flexible - no required meetings or committee services. You may choose to volunteer and engage at a deeper level and attend as many events as you wish.
Impact 100 women learn together about community issues through at least two annual events and are invited to other educational, volunteer, and social opportunities throughout the year.
Grant awarded annually by vote to at least one nonprofit of the Big Give in May.
Impact 100 voters contribute $1,100 annually (tax-deductible gift).
Up to four women may share one vote with a $1,100 contribution ($275 each)
