corporATE FUNDS
Corporate Philanthropy refers to the investments and activities a company voluntarily undertakes to responsibly manage and account for its impact on society. It includes investments of money, donations of products, in-kind services and technical assistance, employee volunteerism, and other business transactions to advance a social cause, issue, or the work of a nonprofit organization(s).
Nearly 9-in-10 (86%) of Americans expect companies to do more than just make a profit – they should also address social and environmental issues. And 74% of Americans say that their job is more fulfilling when they are given the opportunity to make a positive impact in the communities they serve.
Corporate philanthropy funds, or foundations, allow companies to invest money in an account dedicated solely to charitable giving, and then use that money to make a difference.
