MAKing AN IMPACT WITH PCF

Picture
Today the energy and hope being generated around strengthening our communities is greater than ever. Because of this vitality, the Foundation’s financial assets are now $17 million. More importantly, challenges like; homelessness, early childhood education, health and care, neighborhood safety and revitalization and more, are being addressed in an aggressive manner. We are seeing progress. Since 2011, the Foundation with its many partners, has invested nearly $14 million in Peninsula community projects.
In 2003, a group of local leaders came together to discuss the Peninsula’s many challenges and how a community foundation could help. Out of these first meetings was born the Peninsula Community Foundation. The financial assets of the foundation during those first months were $1,000. Its true assets however involved the energy and hope of that original group of organizers. They held a vision of bringing our businesses, our families and our governments together to strengthen our nonprofits and the people they serve. It has been extremely rewarding to see this vision develop.

What our clients are saying:

"The community has been very supportive of my family and me, so we want to give back in the form of a legacy gift to the Foundation."

"I am proud of our home community and want it to be all that it can be, and I really believe one of the organizations that best serves our hometown, is the Peninsula Community Foundation. We’re talking about building a great community asset."

"They got it immediately. We knew this is like a marriage made in heaven. You don’t need to be rich to do this, it just needs to be something you want to do."
