Hundreds of individuals, families, businesses, organizations and area governments have entrusted the Peninsula Community Foundation for stewarding their financial resources to help bring about a better life on the Virginia Peninsula. Partnering with us, these community investors channel more than $4 million to local charities every year. The Foundation provides important information on changing community issues, successful programs that are making a difference, as well as estate planning and tax strategies. The Foundation to date is responsible for local quality of life projects totaling more than $36 million. We are especially proud of our role in starting and managing the biggest 24-hour giving event in Hampton Roads history.
